With the departure of Hunter Rison, there’s plenty of opportunity for young receivers to come in and have an instant impact for Michigan State.

I’m sure most Spartan fans have heard the news of Hunter Rison moving on to another program. While the news is disappointing, there’s still plenty of talent to cover the loss. There is a lot of young talent for Michigan State to look forward to at wide receiver. The player you should watch to make a bang in 2018 is 6-foot-2 wide receiver Julian Major form Penn Hills High School in Pittsburgh, Penn.

Major could be another weapon Michigan State needs. The thing that sticks out about Julian instantly on film are his ball skills and ability to adjust to the ball and make a play while a defender is right on him. His body control and consistent hands already make him a threat on the field and add in his size, he could be lethal early on for the Spartans.

The fact that Julian Major is an early enrollee makes an even stronger case for himself. Doesn’t hurt being 6-foot-2 and having the athleticism and the knowledge to excel on the field.

Add him into the already talented receiving corps and Michigan state will be completely fine, maybe even better at wide out for a while. Watch out, Spartan nation, theres a Major addition to the receiving corps.
