Friday night’s Michigan State vs UConn game should be a good matchup between two perennial contenders. Here’s how to watch online.

After fighting through Thursday night’s Thanksgiving win over DePaul without Miles Bridges, the Spartans might have to do more of the same on Friday against Connecticut. The Huskies took down Oregon in the opening round to set up a matchup with Michigan State.

The Huskies are 4-0 on the season, but may not have a go-to scorer while the Spartan could be without theirs, but have plenty of depth.

In the win over DePaul, Matt McQuaid stepped up and finished with a game-high 20 points on 6-of-8 makes from 3-point range. The Spartans will need more production out of him moving forward.

Nick Ward is also going to need to step up after playing just 11 minutes on Thursday due to foul trouble. Tom Izzo needs to be able to trust his bigs to stay out of foul trouble. Jaren Jackson Jr. finished with a double-double, but Gavin Schilling and Ben Carter had just four points combined.

The Spartans will look to get a matchup with North Carolina on Sunday and a win over Connecticut, especially if Bridges doesn’t play, would be huge for confidence-building reasons.
