Michigan State Football: 5 players who need to step up vs. Maryland in Week 12
By Stephen Robb
The defensive line was abused against Ohio State and pushed back into the linebackers. The line is young playing freshmen and sophomores. However, they caught an elite OSU team on a bad day — or a good day for the Buckeyes.
The Buckeyes played with their hair on fire, something I had never seen from them. I’ve followed Ohio State over the years and still never had seen them come out in that fashion.
Does this mean Ohio State overachieved or Michigan State underachieved? I will write this the Spartans were not as passionate in that game from kickoff. There was too much walking around on the opening series. The sense of urgency was all over the body language of the Buckeyes.
This young MSU team is learning and last Saturday was a lesson. They will need to apply that lesson to a hungry Terrapin team that comes to East Lansing.
