Big Ten Tournament

March 2 vs. Penn State: The Spartans take on the No. 8 seeded Nittany Lions in a secretly difficult game for the tournament opener. Michigan State doesn’t falter as it still remembers what happened against Penn State at the Palestra last season. Similar to the first game, the MSU bigs will be too much for Mike Watkins to handle by himself. Win (28-4)

March 3 vs. Maryland: As a five-seed, the Terrapins get a rubber match with Michigan State after taking the last meeting in College Park. The Spartans use that loss to their advantage as Miles Bridges puts the team on his back because he doesn’t plan on losing again. Win (29-4)

March 4 vs. Northwestern: Michigan State gets a rematch against a Northwestern (three-seed) team that improves by the day. Unfortunately for the Wildcats, their talent level isn’t at the same level as MSU’s, especially on a neutral court. Tom Izzo doesn’t care about rest because the NCAA tournament is almost two weeks away. Win (30-4)
