Northwestern is stout against the run and Michigan State loves to run the ball. Something has got to give. It will take more than 2-yard gains for the Spartans to get a win.

David Beedle came back last week and looked healthy and great. They will need him along this line to help open holes for the running backs. LJ Scott ran well against Indiana, however, there were not many lanes until the fourth quarter.

This is a young line, but it has impressed me thus far. It will be excellent for years to come. However, if Michigan State is going to win in November, it starts on Saturday.

The Spartans are going to have to be tougher than the Pat Fitzgerald-led Wildcats. If this line can step up, Michigan State will enter not only the race for the East division but also for the Big Ten Championship, and more.
