2. Brian Lewerke has second 300-yard game of career

It’s been almost a month since Brian Lewerke last reached the 300-yard mark through the air, and it was the first time in his entire career. However, it took some garbage-time yardage to get there as the Notre Dame game was already well in hand at that point.

Still, Lewerke hasn’t been able to air the ball out much in recent weeks thanks to some inclement weather against Minnesota and Michigan. He has throw for just over 200 total yards in the past two games with two touchdowns and an interception. Things will change against the Hoosiers.

Looking to get the young quarterback some added confidence before facing Penn State and Ohio State in a couple of weeks, the coaching staff will allow him to try and beat the Hoosiers with his arm — and it’ll work. He will look like the true quarterback of the future and sling the rock around for 315 yards and three touchdowns.

Moreover, his accuracy will be better than it has been all year and he’s going to take some shots down the field to guys like Darrell Stewart Jr., Trishton Jackson, Felton Davis III and even Hunter Rison. Look for him to get Cody White and Cam Chambers more involved as well.
