4. Trishton Jackson bounces back in big way

The absence of Trishton Jackson in Saturday’s game against Minnesota was concerning. The talented sophomore receiver was expected to be a breakout candidate this season, but had yet to truly live up to the hype. Was he in the dog house? No, according to Mark Dantonio, he was injured.

The staff has already dubbed Jackson healthy for Saturday, claiming that he will play against Indiana. The offense will need him as he provides an extra threat to that Hoosier secondary. He’s had just one performance of over 50 receiving yards this season, and I think he will have a second on Saturday afternoon.

The Hoosiers will have a tough time matching up with him while also adequately covering Felton Davis III and Darrell Stewart Jr. He will go unforgotten, at times, and burn Indiana deep for a nice 40-yard touchdown pass and catch.

On the day, Jackson will finish with a season-high of six catches for 110 yards and a touchdown, making it known that he will not be forgotten in this offense. Could this be the start of the rise to stardom for the sophomore?
