The post-game celebration after the Bowling Green win for Michigan State football resembled that of successful years in the past.

Getting the first win of the season has to feel good. For Michigan State football, it’s been a long nine months. No bowl game in 2016 made the offseason that much more unbearable, but the start of the 2017 campaign was welcomed with open arms.

Despite the issues off the field in the past nine months, the team seemed to be gelling on the field. The distractions were few and the Spartans “played good ball.”

Just how good does it feel to get that first win? If this video tells you anything, it’s that the locker room is about as electric as it’s ever been:

Seeing a locker room like that even after a Bowling Green win is a sight for sore eyes. Michigan State seemingly hasn’t had electricity like that in a post-game celebration since the 2015 season. The locker room was rumored to be an issue last year, but watching this video shows no indication of that problem in 2017.

Sure, it’s early in the season and everything can be taken with a grain of salt, but these guys truly seem to like each other. They value each other as family, it seems. Could this be the start of a return to glory?

If this post-game celebration didn’t get you pumped up or give you flashbacks to the good old days, you may want to check your pulse. Still early, but excitement is back in the air in East Lansing.
