Fantasy football expert Matthew Berry had nothing but good things to say about former Michigan State football star Kirk Cousins recently.

How does a young quarterback follow up the best season of his career? By tacking on and putting up even crazier numbers under center, of course. Former Michigan State football star Kirk Cousins has been impressing left and right and even fantasy experts have taken notice.

In fact, one of the most respected fantasy experts out there, Matthew Berry, made a big prediction for the former Spartan gunslinger.

During one of his preseason fantasy shows, Berry stated that Cousins is going to have a “monster year” — which really shouldn’t surprise anyone who’s followed him lately.

While he might not be thought of as a top-10 quarterback in the league by most, he’s slowly rising  in the ranks. Heck, he passed for a franchise record 4,917 yards and 25 touchdowns while completing about 67 percent of his throws in 2016. The year before, he had 4,166 yards and 29 touchdowns with a 70 percent completion rate as he led the Redskins to the playoffs.

Cousins often flies under the radar, but he’s become one of the more reliable passers in the entire NFL and his teammates love him. It’s been rumored recently that he wants to remain in Washington for his entire career, which should ease his mind heading into the season.

Although some of his top weapons from last year are gone, he has added a new, elite-level target in Terrelle Pryor and second-year player Josh Doctson could break out. Don’t forget top tight end Jordan Reed, too.

Cousins could break 5,000 yards and 30 touchdowns this season.
