Watch as former Michigan State star Draymond Green caught teammate Klay Thompson in mid-air, preventing a nasty fall.

Draymond Green, saver of teammates. Well, at least that’s what he was considered to be for a fraction of Monday night’s Game 5 of the NBA Finals.

What do I mean by this? Well, as Klay Thompson went up to block Tristan Thompson’s shot in the paint, the Warriors’ shooting guard was upended and nearly fell on his back/neck. Luckily, the former Spartan came to his rescue.

Just watch as Draymond saved Klay’s life like a fireman catching a cat that jumps from a tree. Bad analogy? Probably, but let’s roll with it.

Draymond was an innocent bystander when he say Klay take an elbow from the Cavaliers’ big man to the knees. He flipped and was nearly the subject of a major injury storyline in Game 5. However, Green caught Thompson in mid-air and made sure he made it to the ground safely.

Thompson owes his teammate his life after that. Just imagine the ugly spill if Draymond isn’t there to catch him from the fall. Heck, he could have put his arms out to brace his fall and that may have cause an even worse injury.
