Shortly after news was released Monday regarding the Ingham County Prosecutor’s office issuing charges to three unnamed players, Mark Dantonio was quick to make a move when the names were made public.
In fact, the head coach released a statement Tuesday, dismissing the three players from the team, effective immediately.

“Sexual assault has no place in our community, and I want to share my deep concern for the young woman affected and her family,” Dantonio said.
This whole case has been a major black eye for Michigan State. However, no one should forget about the victim in this case just because it involves high-profile athletes. While they are technically innocent until proven guilty, there have been details coming out about the actual incident that, if true, could get these three some serious time.
Michigan State can now move forward without these three lingering over the program’s head.
