Former Michigan State football star Le’Veon Bell has donated $750K to his old high school for a new football field.

Despite what you’ve heard in the news lately and from trolling Michigan fans, Mark Dantonio has produced a ton of high-character players at Michigan State. Le’Veon is one of those impressive personalities.

The Spartans may not be having the best offseason off the field, but it’s stories like this one that will make you believe that hope is there. Although Bell no longer plays for Michigan State, he is still a representative of the university and anything he does off the field reflects MSU and the Steelers.

On Wednesday, the All-Pro running back donated $750,000 to his former high school, Groveport Madison in Ohio, for a new football field. While this may not seem like a huge deal since he makes so much money, players aren’t required to make donations such as these.

Playing on the field not too long ago, Bell probably realized that Groveport Madison could use an upgrade with new turf. He decided to present the school with a check to go toward a new field and in turn, the school will be naming the field after him.

In fact, it will be called Le’Veon Bell Field at Cruiser Stadium, according to nbc4i.com. He graduated from the high school in 2010 before playing for Michigan State until his junior year, then getting drafted by the Steelers in the second round. He’s been one of the top talents in the league and, apparently, an even better person.
