According to reports, there will be two former Michigan State basketball players representing teams at the NBA Draft Lottery.

The NBA is filled with former Michigan State basketball players. Heck, there are even cases where the former player is in a front office position. On Tuesday night, the NBA Draft Lottery will affect a handful of former Spartans in the league.

What makes it more exciting is that two former Spartans will be in attendance, representing their respective teams.

According to reports on Twitter, both Gary Harris (Nuggets) and Magic Johnson (Lakers) will be at the lottery on Tuesday. That’s two former Spartans in the spotlight for one of the most important events of the offseason (for 14 teams).

Harris has molded into one of the Nuggets’ top young stars and Magic has taken ownership of the Lakers’ front office. Both look to be headed in the right direction, on the court, after this offseason and NBA Draft — more so the Nuggets.

This just goes to show the type of pedigree Michigan State has in the NBA. If two out of 14 people heading to the draft lottery are former Spartans, that should give recruits a good look at their future if they choose Michigan State.
