Preparing for the 2017 NFL Draft, Michigan State star Malik McDowell is making his final rounds, visiting organizations to make a pitch. It seems as if he was in Seattle on Monday, visiting the Seahawks who may consider pulling the trigger on him.

McDowell is considered one of the NFL Draft’s top defensive linemen and the Seahawks could look to bolster that group which has been so successful for them in years past. Adding McDowell would be a home run for Pete Carroll.
However, the fact that he took a trip to Seattle to meet with the Seahawks on Monday could either mean he’s preparing for the situation that he falls in the first round or they might trade up to get him.
Right now, the Seahawks have the No. 26 overall pick, but McDowell has been mocked anywhere from 15-30. It’s tough to really tell where he will be selected, especially after the NFL Combine yielded mixed results.
In fact, some scouts said he had the worst interview of anyone they talked to while he was still putting up solid numbers on the field. He had one of the best 40-times of any defensive lineman.

Put McDowell on that defense, though, and watch him thrive. He would join an elite group of defensive players and potentially play with purpose each and every snap.
