The NFL Network released the names of 22 prospects who have accepted invites to the draft selection show and will be on hand for the first and potentially second rounds.
Most of the players that will be attending are considered first-round locks while some could fall to day two. That includes McDowell who had a nice NFL Combine appearance, physically, but there were concerns raised about his personality. Some scouts even said his interview was the worst they had.
Red flags were raised about his drive and motivation to get better, which scared away some scouts and some teams may be taking a hard pass. Still, he has the talent to be a top-10 pick, but he could fall to the 20-32 range.
It’s good that he accepted the invite, though, and will represent not only the Spartans, but the Big Ten as well. He’s one of four Big Ten players who will be in attendance. Wisconsin offensive tackle Ryan Ramczyk and Ohio State’s Gareon Conley and Marshon Lattimore are the other three.
