The 2017-18 Michigan State basketball season hasn’t even started yet and future Spartans are already being evaluated by NBA Draft experts. In fact, Jaren Jackson Jr. is being dubbed one of the 10 best NBA prospects for the 2018 class, which may surprise some people.

The Detroit News reported that ESPN’s Chad Ford‘s list of top 10 NBA prospects for 2018 includes Jackson Jr. The list is for those with an ESPN Insider account, but the News took an except from it:
"“While he needs to add strength and a post game, his tools were evident. Scouts took notice and believe his combination of size and skill will make him the next-most obvious candidate to be a one-and-done player in college.“He had 13 points and 10 rebounds for Team USA and dominated the paint. If he can show enough of that talent at Michigan State, he’ll look like a top-10 draft pick.”"
Jackson Jr. has been making a name for himself via the McDonald’s All-American Game, Dick’s National Championship with La Lumiere and now the Nike Hoop Summit for Team USA. Tom Izzo reeled in quite the stretch four as he may be a one-and-done prospect.

If Jackson Jr. can play like he has with La Lumiere to help lead them to the title and like he has with Team USA, he could be a top draft prospect at this time next year.
