Former Michigan State football star Josiah Price wasn’t invited to the NFL Combine, but he met with the Detroit Lions.

One of the bigger snubs from the NFL Combine at the tight end position was Michigan State football’s very own Josiah Price. The senior from Greentown, Ind., had a fantastic senior year despite the Spartans finishing a dismal 3-9.

Some experts even dubbed him the biggest tight end snub at the combine. He wasn’t invited despite having a heck of a career for the Spartans. However, he is still being talked about as a potential mid-to-late round draft pick as he’s one of the better tight ends in this class.

In fact, he’s been speaking extensively with a few teams, including the Detroit Lions and his hometown Indianapolis Colts.

Many Spartan fans would love to see him suit up for the Lions as a late-round pick because they know what he’s capable of. No, he’s not going to come in right away and start, but he could work his way up the depth chart and be a nice complementary piece for Eric Ebron.

Moreover, Price has been consistent throughout his career and was one of the most sure-handed tight ends in recent Michigan State history. He caught 38 passes for 387 yards and five touchdowns during his senior campaign, finishing with 104 receptions for 1,238 yards and 21 touchdowns in his career.
