Here’s how you can watch Saturday afternoon’s Michigan State football spring game from East Lansing online.

Michigan State fans have been waiting about four months for this day. Saturday’s spring game signifies the start of the 2017 season even though it’s still about five months away. It’s essentially the midway point, or close to it, of the offseason.

Usually the Spartans’ spring game happens later in April, but Mark Dantonio decided to move it up this year to deal with the fact that Michigan State had no bowl practices. Missing out on a bowl isn’t something he’s used to, so it’ll be interesting to see how this team responds to a 3-9 season.

Brian Lewerke takes over at quarterback after ending his 2016 early with a broken leg. His potential backups, Messiah deWeaver and Damion Terry, are both rumored to be injured and may not play during Saturday’s scrimmage. That will make for less of a QB competition.

Keep an eye on other positions such as tight end, wide receiver, offensive line, defensive line, linebacker, cornerback and safety. All of which will be replacing starters.
