Watch as Michigan State basketball’s injured senior guard Eron Harris gets subbed into the game’s final seconds and kisses the court on Senior Day.

Michigan State basketball extended the lead to 10 and got the ball back with 11 seconds left and one player stood at the scorer’s table, waiting to be subbed in. Standing next to fellow senior Matt Van Dyk was Eron Harris who was injured last Saturday at Purdue.

News broke the day after that he would miss the rest of the season, effectively ending his Michigan State career. He transferred in a couple of years ago from West Virginia with hopes of being the Spartans’ go-to scorer, but he never could consistently grow into that role.

Still, his teammates loved him, as did Tom Izzo. The head coach decided to give him his moment on Senior Day at the Breslin Center.

Watch as the injured senior limped to center court in order to kiss the Spartan logo like countless seniors before him have.

It was one of the more touching moments of the season and it just goes to show how much Harris actually meant to the team. With him on the sidelines cheering on his teammates and giving them advice, the Spartans are 2-0.

What was just as touching was the fact that Wisconsin players came up to him and gave him hugs and handshakes while head coach Greg Gard was classy enough to let this happen with 10 seconds left and the Spartans up by 10.

While he would have likes to kiss the court under different circumstances, Harris will remember this moment for the rest of his life and the countless people that made it happen.
