18. Eat at Brody Cafeteria

As someone who used to work at Brody, I can honestly say that the gigantic cafeteria was a pain to maintain, but when it was time to eat there, no place on campus compared. In fact, Brody Cafeteria is the largest non-military cafeteria in the country and probably the most popular in its thousands of customers’ eyes.

Working in the busiest cafeteria on campus was just something to pay the bills during college, but it was nice to have an excuse to eat at the best campus dining hall there was. If you’re going there for the first time, you might need a map because people have actually gotten lost in there.

Holding nine different eating stations during lunch and dinner, Brody was the place to be. If you wanted sushi, Brody had it. Mexican? Look no further. Burgers and chicken sandwiches? Yup. Homestyle mashed potatoes and rotisserie chicken? Absolutely. Pasta, vegetarian meals, stir fry, sandwiches and pizza? Check, check, check, check and check.

To top it all off, there’s a dessert station, Dolce, which has a dessert of the day to go along with cookies, hard-packed ice creak from the MSU Dairy Store and local businesses, smoothies and soft-serve ice cream.

If you plan on heading here for a meal, make sure you bring your appetite because you’ll end up eating way more than you thought possible.
