4. Jeremy Langford TD run (2013)
Jeremy Langford was one of those rare running backs who really never scratched the surface of his full potential at Michigan State and yet happened to be one of the best in school history. The two-year starter put together two 1,000-plus yard seasons on his way to a Big Ten title, Rose Bowl victory and Cotton Bowl win.
Langford was a crucial piece to the MSU puzzle on the ground and was one of the more exciting runners in recent memory — well, along with Le’Veon Bell.
The former defensive back happened to be known for one major thing during his two years in the backfield: sealing the deal. Langford seemed to always be the guy to put the cherry on top, the icing on the cake and be the human victory cigar.
Usually, that term is reserved for players who get in the game only when a win is inevitable, but for Langford, his final run of big games was usually an exciting one in which he broke for 30-plus yards and put the game away for good.
In 2013, that’s exactly what he did against Michigan, and the crowd went bananas.
Note: If not already there, the run is at the 0:55 mark. Whole video is worth watching, though.
