Yes, we know, the college football rankings for both the AP and Amway Coaches polls were released yesterday afternoon, but our writers may have a different view on who should be ranked where.

More from Spartans Football

Each week from here on out, the writers of Spartan Avenue will vote on the weekly college football rankings and they will be released either right before or right after the official AP and Coaches polls are revealed.

Week three was a funny one for college football as it seemed like the crazy upsets have just begun. We waited a couple weeks for this kind of action, and seeing teams like Auburn, Alabama, USC and Georgia Tech lose was definitely good for college football fans. Everyone loves a good upset and week three was full of them.

This week could have more of the same type of action as conference play is just getting underway for some and trap games could be happening for those who are awaiting conference play to begin next week. Trap games are common at this time of year for top-tier teams who overlook their final non-conference opponents as league play is set to begin.

Will we see another top-five team fall this week at the hands of a conference foe, or will we see some teams ranked in the teens/twenties make a big jump like Ole Miss did this past week? In case you didn’t know, the Rebels received the second-most first-place votes of any team in the country in this week’s AP poll.

Let’s take a look at the Spartan Avenue college football rankings for week four and let us know if you agree or disagree in the comment section below.
