3. Vernon Adams will have a big day
After three season with Eastern Washington, senior quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. will be playing his final collegiate campaign with the Oregon Ducks. Adams has some of the same qualities of Marcus Mariota, such as his dual-threat ability, but there will be no match for the reigning Heisman winner.

Michigan State showed that its secondary isn’t quite up to par for the 2015 season after struggling so much against Western Michigan’s passing attack.
Adams will finish this game with over 300 yards and two touchdowns as the Spartans will struggle to keep up with his dynamic playmaking ability. Last week against Eastern Washington, he completed 19-of-25 passes for 246 yards and two touchdowns.
While ultimately I think MSU’s secondary will become a solid unit in the 2015 season, it will take some time to get there. The Spartans will receive their fair share of lumps and bruises on the way to putting together a solid secondary.
Adams will have success in the pass game as well as running the ball seeing as the Spartans haven’t faced a dual-threat quarterback in about 10 months, showing that there is still some rust in the QB containing game.
