4. Madre London, Gerald Holmes will each have over 125 yards rushing

The largest disparity between major and mid major Division I football programs is in the trenches. Michigan State will lean on this early as well as late in the game.

Coach D will look to establish the running game early on and London will achieve the century mark before halftime by taking advantage of large holes created by the best line in the Mark Dantonio era.

In the second half, Holmes will get his carries and yardage.

With a big lead the Spartans will not look to run up the score and keep the ball on the ground. With a tired Western Michigan defensive line the Spartan offensive line will continue to dominate making it easy for Holmes to finish off the Broncos all while gaining over 125 yards to join London.

Don’t be surprised as well if you see brilliant flashes from freshman L.J. Scott as well. This will be a showcase for the offensive line, making holes large enough for fans from the stands to come down and pick up first downs with carries of their own.
