3. DeAnthony Arnett leads team in receiving

This is the ultimate bold prediction. DeAnthony Arnett has been underachieving for three seasons as a member of the Michigan State football team.

Since transferring over from Tennessee, the Saginaw-native wanted to be closer to his dad, but it seemed as if family was weighing on his mind and he struggled to really grasp the Spartans’ offensive playbook.

It always seemed like he dominated in spring and fall scrimmages, but the games were a different story as he hasn’t stepped out of the shadows of his hype just yet. In three years with the Spartans, he has caught just six passes for 87 yards and no touchdowns.

That’s opposed to his freshman season with the Volunteers where he caught 24 passes for 242 yards and two scores.

Through the first month of the college football season, Arnett will lead the Spartans in receiving, proving his strong offseason was no fluke. He will catch 20 passes for 300-plus yards and his first two Michigan State touchdowns.

Arnett will give Spartan Nation what it has been waiting for.
