Many could argue that Ed Davis is the most underrated player on the roster, but this list would be pretty predictable if I made it that way. The Spartans have seen very little of what Davis can really bring to the table and he has the potential to be one of the best linebackers in the Dantonio era.

Davis is quick, athletic and he can lay the hurt on any opposing ball carrier who happens to come in his direction. Don’t sleep on this guy because he has the potential to be great and open some NFL scouts’ eyes this year with standout play.
I honestly can’t remember a year in which the Michigan State linebackers were less talked about and more underrated than they are heading into the 2015 season. While in years past you had Greg Jones, Eric Gordon, Max Bullough and Denicos Allen to talk about, this year is basically like there is no linebacking corps.
With every other position on the field getting love, Ed Davis and crew will have no issue coming under the radar to steal your heart with gutsy play and heroic defensive stands.
Watch out for Davis this year, folks. He will surprise you.
