2. Louis Brown IV, WR, San Diego State

In case you didn't notice, everyone and their sister, brother, mother, and father in Michigan State's wide receiver room has entered the transfer portal or graduated except for freshman phenom Nick Marsh.

With Montorie Foster, Alante Brown, Aziah Johnson, Jaelen Smith, Jaron Glover, and Antonio Gates Jr. all seemingly on their way out, that leaves Marsh as the only remaining player that recorded a stat this year in the receiver room.

A transfer or two, or maybe even three should be added to this corps in order to be competitive in 2025. My first look is at San Diego State receiver Louis Brown IV. While he isn't a household name, the big-body pass catcher is a nice option as a prototypical X, deep-threat wideout.

At 6-foot-2 and nearly 200 pounds, Brown reeled in 38 receptions for over 600 yards this season and looks like an ideal breakout candidate.

3. Tarrion Grant, CB, Purdue

This candidate is much more projection-based as he was a true freshman last season with just over 250 snaps under his belt. This secondary ended the season absolutely decimated with injuries to several key contributors. Purdue's Tarrion Grant would by no means be a shoe-in starter, but he is certainly one of the more battle-tested Power Four freshman corners with immense potential in the portal.

I'm intrigued here by the size Grant brings to the position at 6-foot-3, 197 pounds, but also by the fact that he was ranked in the top-100 in the 2025 class before reclassifying to 2024. He didn't grade out well according to PFF, but logged 13 tackles, two pass deflections, and a forced fumble with three years of eligibility left. He allowed a 47 percent completion rate and a passer rating under 80.
