Michigan State Football: 5 best landing spots for Kenneth Walker III in NFL draft
1. Buffalo Bills
Division: AFC East
Running back room: Devin Singletary (24), Zack Moss (24), Duke Johnson (28), Taiwan Jones (33)
The Buffalo Bills are one of the top teams in the AFC, but their last two seasons resulted in them being taken down by Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. In both games, as well as a sizeable amount of their regular-season games, the Bills have been forced to abandon the run, with their running plays mostly being Josh Allen-designed runs and scrambles.
If the Bills had a running game with a player like Kenneth Walker III, it is very likely the Bills Mafia could have been celebrating being the first repeat champions in the NFL since New England in 2004 and 2005. It is imperative that the Bills take a step to correct this lack of a running game, as Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs, and Co. are not getting any younger.
The Super Bowl window is open for this team, but they need a running back to add balance to this roster. All of their best players are still in the prime of their careers, and Walker III would give them a home run threat in the backfield. Allen’s arm and Walker III’s legs will give AFC East defensive coordinators fits for years to come.
Buffalo picks at 25th and 57th overall, meaning they will either need to trade back or take Kenneth Walker at 25. A cause for concern is that Kenneth Walker III was not among the listed players who had a “top 30” visit with the Bills, per Buffalo Rumblings. Breece Hall of Iowa State, the other contender for top running back in the 2022 draft class, was listed. I believe Buffalo will be making a serious mistake if they take Hall over Walker III.
Wherever Walker III ends up, I will be supporting K9 and buying his jersey once it is in stock. As fans, it is time to sit back, relax, and watch one of our own go and tear up the NFL this upcoming season.
Where do you think Walker lands?
