Darius Snow took the starting spot midway through the last season and never looked back, and he returns for his junior season with a new position.

Snow defines himself as a “football player” instead of any position, and that showed over spring practice. He would have easily retained his position at nickel, but instead followed coach’s instructions and is working with the linebackers.

Snow already made an impact during the drills, breaking up a fourth-and-15 pass to Jayden Reed that was at the sticks, forcing a fumble that Windmon returned for a touchdown, as well as making tackle after tackle.

Would I buy this stock?

Definitely. All of Michigan State’s linebackers struggled with pass coverage last year, and Snow would bring an immediate positive impact on that front.

In the spring game, the staff ran multiple fronts with three linebackers on the field, and Snow will prove himself invaluable this season. He is not afraid of contact and will lay a hit, making him the perfect solution for our linebackers’ struggles against the pass. The last player to define themself as a “football player” was Connor Heyward, and he broke out for the MSU offense last year. Snow can certainly do the same this year.
