1. Jayden Reed is Michigan State’s most explosive player in decades

I’m having a tough time trying to remember a time when Michigan State had a player quite as explosive as Jayden Reed.

Darrell Stewart Jr. showed flashes throughout his career, but could never seem to stay healthy, RJ Shelton had flashes of being explosive, and Keshawn Martin was a crazy all-around athlete for years in Michigan State’s offense. He could return punts and kicks, was a great receiver and was an end-around master. Aaron Burbridge, too, was explosive in his own right.

Reed is probably more explosive than all of those guys and might be Michigan State’s most explosive all-around football player in decades.

Not only did he have another fantastic game with 127 receiving yards and a touchdown along with a 7-yard rush and 88-yard punt return touchdown, but with the performance, he leads all of college football in all-purpose yards.

We talk about Payton Thorne and Kenneth Walker III plenty, but Reed deserves some love as he is Michigan State’s most explosive offensive weapon.
