Indiana began the 2021 season with huge expectations after a strong 2020 campaign which ended with a loss to Ole Miss in the Outback Bowl.

The Hoosiers are no longer the pushovers of the Big Ten under Tom Allen and the fiery head coach will have his team prepared for this Week 7 battle in Bloomington, but much like the Rutgers matchup, the Spartans want revenge here.

Indiana came to East Lansing last season and blanked Michigan State which was unacceptable and Mel Tucker knows that. His team lost 24-0, but the Spartans have improved tremendously since that game while it looks like Indiana may have taken a step back.

There’s a reason Indiana was ranked to start the 2021 season and I think the Spartans are going to get a heck of a battle from the Hoosiers here. Michael Penix seems to always give Michigan State trouble and that will be especially true this season with the Spartans’ secondary struggling.

Kenneth Walker III has another big game and I know I predicted an MSU win in my October bolds, but I think this could be a slip-up as the Spartans are looking ahead to Michigan a bit.

Final Score: Michigan State 24, Indiana 27 (6-1, 3-1)
