Following a rough 2-3 game stretch, Michigan State will get a decent Purdue team which will be on the verge of a bowl berth at this point in the season as well.

Jeff Brohm is fighting for his job and he’ll be feeling the pressure here, but Michigan State is playing with nothing to lose and that’s a dangerous recipe for a favorite. The Spartans are going to jump ahead early and hold on for a tight win in West Lafayette.

Final Score: Michigan State 28, Purdue 24 (6-3, 4-2)

There you are, Maryland. We hardly recognized you after backing out of two matchups last season due to COVID-19.

The Terrapins had to cancel two games against the Spartans last season due to the pandemic and now that these two will finally meet up in East Lansing, following Michigan State’s official bowl berth, the Spartans are just trying to pad that win column.

Maryland is one of those teams trending in the right direction in the Big Ten, talent-wise, but it has yet to really translate to the field. Michigan State holds on to win another tight one — the Spartans will be good at winning close ones by this point in the year.
