Who would have thought the Spartans would be playing for a bowl game in the seventh game of the season after that 2-5 first year under Mel Tucker? Probably no one, but the Spartans’ lone loss will be to Miami through the first six games and even this seventh game is winnable.

Michigan State will travel to Bloomington in mid-October for another potential revenge game after taking down Rutgers to improve to 3-0 in conference play.

But Indiana’s defense and Michael Penix Jr. will be too much for the Spartans here.

Final Score: Michigan State 20, Indiana 31 (5-2, 3-1)

This game is circled on everyone’s calendars a day before Halloween so you know that weekend in East Lansing is going to be absolutely insane.

The Spartans will be one win away from a bowl berth and reaching six wins against Michigan would be a dream scenario. Tucker is already 1-0 against the Wolverines so he knows how to beat them and he’s a big believer in this rivalry so this one will have plenty of intensity.

Michigan State and Michigan are going to duke it out in a classic brawl, but the Wolverines will get the last laugh.

Final Score: Michigan 24, Michigan State 20 (5-3, 3-2)
