Ryan Baer is looking more and more like a Spartan with each passing day. He just posted on Twitter Friday that he is not committed but plans on making a decision soon and the recent trend has been toward Michigan State so everyone is pretty confident that he’ll be part of Mel Tucker’s 2022 class by the end of the month.

Baer is a monster offensive lineman and would become the fifth commit in that position group in the Spartans’ 2022 class. He would join Gavin Broscious, Braden Miller, Kristian Phillips, and Ashton Lepo. It’s clear that Tucker is making the offensive line a priority.

And Baer is a monster like the rest of the commits. In fact, Broscious is 6-5 and 305 pounds, Miller is 6-7 and 290 pounds, Phillips is 6-6 and 340 pounds, and Lepo is 6-7 and 270 pounds. What about Baer? Oh, he’s just 6-foot-7 and 320 pounds. Just monsters all around.

If you look at national title teams, they have absolute behemoths in the trenches and that’s exactly what Tucker is trying to do here.

Baer was originally trending toward Kentucky but Michigan State has become the favorite. He’s four spots away from being a four-star in the composite, ranked the No. 367 player in the class.
