28. Flozell Adams

Flozell Adams happens to be one of the biggest, most intimidating offensive linemen in Michigan State football history and he even made our list of the All-time Michigan State football team as one of just four offensive linemen — and for good reason.

Despite being an absolute giant, standing 6-foot-7 and weighing about 340 pounds, Adams was quick with his feet and was a master of the game. He knew how to read defenders who were blitzing and picked it up with ease, making the transition to the next level that much more seamless.

Adams started three years at Michigan State, two years at right tackle and one year as the prized left tackle. His development was one of the most impressive parts of his time at MSU, going from honorable mention All-Big Ten as a sophomore in 1995 to second-team All-Big Ten in 1966 and then earning All-America honors in 1997 as a senior.

“The Hotel” as he was referred to as by fans and teammates, was one of the most dynamic and dominant offensive linemen in the country, even earning 1997 Big Ten Offensive Lineman of the Year honors.

The Nick Saban product was chosen in the second-round of the 1998 NFL Draft (38th overall) and ended up making five Pro Bowls over his career and starting 194 of the 198 career games he appeared in.
