No one had more than one catch except for Aaron Burbridge, who had four catches for 62 yards. The offensive dynamic greatly changed when Cook couldn’t go.

When they were called upon to make a play and were given an opportunity they did. Burbridge came down with a fantastic 36-yard catch on a 3rd-and-13 that got the Spartans going and gave them confidence.

MSU’s first touchdown came through the air, receiver extraordinaire, Trevon Pendleton came out of the backfield to make a fantastic catch and dive for the pylon.

Despite being used minimally the receiving core took advantage when given an opportunity and were able to importantly aid in the blocking downfield. Not the best conditions for receivers to play in but there was no whining about not getting the ball or putting it in the air. They knew what needed to be done to come away with the win and were all in with their teammates.
