3. George Hill will commit
As a recent Ohio State de-commit, four-star athlete George Hill is considered one of the hottest commodities in the recruiting circuit for the 2016 class. Michigan State’s group of prospects for next year is almost full, but about 3-to-5 spots remain, and that could mean the addition of a guy like Hill would be very much welcomed.
If you don’t know this by now, Hill is the former high school teammate of current MSU true freshman running back LJ Scott who just happens to lead the No. 6 undefeated team in the country in rushing yards, yards per carry and touchdowns.
Watching his good friend and former teammate dominate at the collegiate level with Dantonio giving him a shot in his first year to play and contribute like an upperclassman has to be attractive for a guy like Hill who many thing could be just as good as Scott. In fact, he’s rated one of the top-100 recruits in the nation and the No. 7 athlete, according to 247Sports.
Scott and Hill dominated as backfield mates at the high school level and Scott is on pace to approach the 1,000-yard mark as a freshman at MSU — they could be thinking of teaming up once again in the green and white.
I think it’s only a matter of time before the high school stud commits to MSU and a visit this month for a home game would really seal the deal.
