4. LJ Scott TD run vs. Oregon

Remember when Oregon was No. 7 in the country and considered to be one of the top contenders to make the College Football Playoff with a dangerous Vernon Adams at quarterback? That seems like ages ago, but it was just five weeks. The Ducks are now just 4-3 and Adams is considered an average quarterback.

The matchup between No. 5 Michigan State and the No. 7 Ducks happened to be one of the best early-season bouts — on paper — and it didn’t disappoint as the game went down to the wire with the Spartans pulling out the most impressive victory of the season for a top-10 team.

When the game was 24-21 in the Spartans’ favor late in the fourth quarter, true freshman running back LJ Scott decided to take matter into his own hands, putting the victory away for good with a 38-yard touchdown dash.

That run helped the first-year player earn Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors — he has won that twice this year — and rack up over 70 yards and his first two touchdowns as a Spartan.

At the time, that was the biggest play of the season, but you’re in luck because there are still three plays better than that.
