Michigan State football will be getting an important visit from three-star defensive end Randy Charlton from Miami, Fla., on Wednesday.

Although it’s the middle of the offseason, albeit with an end in sight, Michigan State football is still making recruiting moves for the 2018 class. Although the class is filling up quickly, there is still a major need for defensive line depth, and three-star Randy Charlton from Miami, Fla., could be of assistance.

Charlton will be visiting East Lansing on Wednesday, and he’s not the only Spartan target who will be on campus.

According to Sean Scherer’s interview on 247Sports, Charlton said he will be on campus Wednesday with three-star defensive end teammate James Head.

"“The head coach, Mark Dantonio,” Charlton said when asked which coaches from Michigan State he hears from. “Michigan State has a very good program that I might be able to succeed in.”"

The 6-foot-3, 235-pound defensive end is incredibly quick off the snap and can get into the backfield in the blink of an eye.

Imagine Charlton and Head playing on the same defensive line at the next level. Both are big, athletic ends — although Head is slighter of frame — who can make plays on the pass as well as the run.
