Michigan State recruiting has made the top 12 of four-star 2018 running back Harold Joiner from Birmingham, Ala.

Michigan State recruiting received some much-needed good news over the weekend as four-star running back Harold Joiner released his top 12. The Spartans made the cut for one of the nation’s top running back prospects from Birmingham, Ala.

Joiner made the announcement via Twitter on Sunday and his list of potential suitors is elite. Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Texas, UCLA, LSU, South Carolina, Tennessee, TCU, Ole Miss and Baylor also made the cut.

As you can see, the Spartans are the lone Big Ten team to make his list as it’s mostly dominated by the Big 12 and SEC.

With decent size for the position, Joiner would fit right in with the Spartans. Michigan State has already had bigger running backs and with his frame, he would excel in the green and white. Heck, the Spartans currently have a running back who plays like Joiner.

Joiner has good field vision, patience and speed through the hole. There’s a reason he’s ranked so highly according to all recruiting services. Plus, his 6-foot-3, 220-pound frame makes him that much more comparable to Le’Veon Bell and LJ Scott. He has the same type of game. He’s not going to burn you with speed down the field, but he will make you miss right away.
