Michigan State recruiting offers three-star 2018 running back Henry Geil who could be the next Spartan RB pledge.

Looking for the next running back pledge after adding just one over the past two classes, Michigan State offered three-star Henry Geil on Thursday. The 2018 running back hails from Green Bay, Wisc., and looks like a typical Big Ten running back.

Michigan State has had a nice recent history of producing elite-level running backs and you can bet that Geil has taken notice. He visited East Lansing back in mid-March and he’s been waiting for this offer ever since.

With guys like Le’Veon Bell and Jeremy Langford in the NFL, producing thousands of yards per season combined, and LJ Scott the next to make the jump, Geil has to like his chances to make the league. Before those guys, Javon Ringer and Edwin Baker also made it to the NFL.

Geil is a strong, compact back with excellent vision. While he doesn’t have lightning-fast speed, he makes up for it with a quick first step and burst through the hole. His 6-foot-1, 203-pound frame also lets him create holes of his own. He’s not afraid of contact which is a trait that Scott and Bell possess as well.
