Michigan State recruiting will be getting a visit from four-star 2019 wide receiver DeMarcco Hellams this weekend.

Just two weeks ago, Michigan State recruiting extended an offer to four-star 2019 wide receiver DeMarcco Hellams from Hyattsville, Md. Now, he’s planning on taking an unofficial visit to Michigan State over the weekend.

According to his Twitter, Hellams is taking a visit to East Lansing this weekend. Despite the issues going on with the football program, this is finally good news for Mark Dantonio.

Hellams attends the same high school that former Spartan Darien Harris attended. The Spartans have been keeping a close eye on prospects from DeMatha Catholic, such as Chase Young, ever since. They produce some elite talent in Hyattsville.

Moreover, Hellams looks to be a kid who is on the verge of blowing up, recruiting-wise. He’s a 6-foot-1, 195-pound receiver with soft hands, breakaway speed and surprising aggressiveness.

After watching his film, it’s clear that he has incredible concentration and field awareness. There were multiple times in which his quarterback just threw the ball up to him as he hugged the sideline and made an impressive stretching catch. That’s nearly impossible to defend against, but his quarterback trusted him that much.

Hellams is ranked the No. 228 overall recruit, 36th-best receiver and third-best Maryland prospect in2019, according to 247Sports. He’s also received offers from Clemson, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan, North Carolina, Penn State, Tennessee and Virginia Tech.
