College basketball expert Jon Rothstein believes that Michigan State basketball star Miles Bridges will return for sophomore year.

While everyone is stuck speculating whether or not Miles Bridges will return for his sophomore season at Michigan State, whenever an expert thinks he will, you have to believe. It didn’t seem likely a couple of months ago, but recent signs have been pointing toward the Spartans.

If Bridges were to return for the 2017-18 season, Michigan State would be a national title favorite and experts have been predicting that already. Just the other day, Sporting News ranked Michigan State No. 5 in their way-too-early 2017-18 poll.

On Monday, CBS Sports college basketball insider Jon Rothstein released his way-too-early Top 25 and the Spartans came in at No. 2. Not only did he rank the Spartans only behind Louisville, but he predicted that Miles Bridges will be back for his sophomore season.

Sure, he listed only the for sure departures in ‘key losses’, but he didn’t even think twice about putting him in the starting lineup. For a college basketball insider to show confidence like that in Bridges’ return says a lot.

No one truly knows what will happen yet as head coach Tom Izzo and Miles’ mom have been sitting down with the young star to talk about options. If he stays, Michigan State could win it all. If he goes, he could be a lottery pick.
