Michigan State recruiting is getting some help from five-star signee Jaren Jackson Jr. who’s in Brian Bowen’s and Brandon McCoy’s ears.

How can you not like Jaren Jackson Jr.? The five-star power forward, and 2017 signee, has put on his Michigan State recruiting cap and is doing his best to help the Spartans reel in some big fish at the McDonald’s All-American Game.

Evidently, he’s been in the ear of both five-star center Brandon McCoy and five-star small forward Brian Bowen about joining him at Michigan State. That’s something Tom Izzo would be proud of and each class has that type of player who is willing to put on the recruiting hat. In fact, Nick Ward did it last year.

Fast forward to about the 2:08 mark and you’ll hear Jackson talk about how he’s in the ear of both McCoy and Bowen.

While it may not mean much at this point to either of those recruits, this still gives Michigan State somewhat of an advantage when it comes to the McDonald’s All-American Game. Although DeAndre Ayton of Arizona is there, and the Wildcats are on both recruits’ top schools lists, Jackson is closer to both guys.

In fact, it was made public on Tuesday that McCoy has decided to room with Jackson. On top of that, Bowen and Jackson are high school teammates and still have some basketball left in their season with La Lumiere.
