Michigan State recruiting will be getting a big visit from four-star defensive end Malik Vann for the spring game.

One of the biggest, if not the biggest, targets in Michigan State recruiting’s 2018 football class will soon be on campus. Malik Vann recently announced that he will be taking a trip to East Lansing in a couple of weeks for the Green-White scrimmage.

The four-star defensive end has been high on the Spartans’ 2018 board for some time and getting him on campus in two weeks will be huge for the recruitment. It seems as if he will decide in the near future and Michigan State is in good shape with him.

According to his Twitter, the four-star from Fairfield, Ohio, will be taking a trip north to East Lansing on April 1 for the Spartans’ spring game.

It’ll be nice to have him on campus and a good friend like Josiah Scott showing him the ropes before and after the game. During, he will get to see his friend perform and potentially early early playing time, something Vann obviously wants to do as well.

Vann is ranked the No. 261 overall recruit and 11th-best strong-side defensive end in the class, according to 247Sports. He has the ideal size (6-foot-1, 245 pounds) and strength to have an immediate impact.

With the Spartans’ depleted defensive line, he could project as a rotational player from day one if he chooses Michigan State. He’s talented enough to compete for a starting job right away. Notre Dame was his leader until they told him there may no longer be room for him in the 2018 class.
