Michigan State football had a rough season, but Josiah Price was a bright spot which apparently wasn’t enough to get invited to the NFL Combine.

One of the most successful tight ends in Michigan State football history shined during a season in which the Spartans experienced major setbacks and very little success. Josiah Price finished his career with the Spartans as one of the best tight ends in school history, but his best season yet was overshadowed by a 3-9 finish.

Could that poor team record be the reason he didn’t get an invite to the NFL Draft Combine like a few of his teammates? It’s hard to truly understand why one of the best tight ends entering the draft will be sitting at home watching the combine.

Price is arguably the best tight end in the Mark Dantonio era.

Former NFL tight end and current ESPN college football analyst Anthony Becht was shocked at the fact Josiah Price wasn’t invited to the combine. He even went on to call it the biggest tight end snub this year, which is a fair assessment.

Price finished his career with 104 catches for 1,238 yards and 21 touchdowns which is more than two players — George Kittle of Iowa and Cethan Carter of Nebraska — Becht mentioned. The bigger head-scratcher was the invite of Carter over Price. He had just 19 catches for 190 yards and one touchdown in 2016.

Is Josiah the biggest NFL Combine tight end snub this season? Absolutely. It’s tough to leave out a guy who has broken a handful of school records in regards to tight end production.
