The 6-foot-9, 270-pound Nix averaged 9.9 points, ranking fourth on the team, and 6.6 rebounds, ranking second on the team, this past season for the Spartans as team captain.
Nix’s led the Spartans in scoring during the NCAA tournament averaging 15.0 points and a team-high 10.7 rebounds in three tournament games. His impressive 23-point, 15-rebound performance against Valparaiso in the second round of the NCAA tournament made him only the second Spartan to score 20 points and grab 15 rebounds in an NCAA tournament game.
Nix led the Spartans to a 27-9 record last season, a second place finish in the Big Ten, and 17th Sweet Sixteen appearance in the program’s history and 10th under head coach Tom Izzo.
