The Big Ten Conference will host the 2013 Big Ten Media Days and Kickoff Luncheon presented by Allstate and BMW, on Wednesday and Thursday, July 24 and 25 at the Hilton Chicago. The 42nd annual luncheon will feature 36 student-athletes, 19 of which are returning All-Big Ten selections and all 12 head coaches.
The luncheon will start at 10 a.m. CT on Thursday, July 25, with an autograph and photo session for fans. All 12 coaches and Big Ten Medal of Honor recipient John Urschel of Penn State will make comments starting at 11:30 a.m. Urshcel, All-Big Ten offensive lineman and Academic All-American, will speak on behalf of the players at the luncheon like Michigan State quarterback Kirk Cousins did in 2011.
Here is Cousins’ 2011 speech via the Big Ten Network’s YouTube channel.
Each Big Ten school will be represented by three players with seniors Max Bullough (LB), Darqueze Dennard (CB), and Blake Treadwell (OG) representing the Spartans.
