Tonight at the Breslin Center, the Michigan State Spartans are taking on the Indiana Hoosiers. Michigan State is currently number 4 overall and tied for number 1 with Indiana in the Big Ten. The Hoosiers are in both number one slots. The fans are excited and have been lined up since this morning, and Gary Harris, Kieth Appling, Derrick Nix, Adreian Payne, and Branden Dawson alongside their teammates and head coach Tom Izzo are pumped.

Earvin “Magic” Johnson will be serving as an announcer in tonight’s game in his first broadcast of a college game. If the Spartans win tonight, it means that they will have extended their 17-home game winning streak against the Indiana Hoosiers to one more win. Indiana hasn’t won since 1991 when Bob Knight was the Spartans’ coach. That’s not the only awesome possibility – our East Lansing Spartans may just wind up number one.

Indiana is one of two teams that has beat the Spartans during the Big Ten Conference games (the other one was Minnesota). The last time the two teams met, Indiana won 75-70, and there was speculation about many of the calls the refs made. Well, today the Spartans are in their home stadium, it’s White Out 2, and the Izzone is off the charts. I think we’ve got a good shot at number one!

Go Green! Go White!
