Harris chose Mark Dantonio’s Spartans over the Pittsburgh Panthers and the Temple Owls, who also both presented Harris with scholarship offers. In the end, Harris was very much interested in the business school at Michigan State and enjoyed the atmosphere of the team.
The three-star wide receiver opted to head outside of Pennsylvania, where he attended Downingtown East High School in Exton. The Old Dominion Monarchs also offered a package to the 5’10” 180 pound player. He chose the reputation of Michigan State’s academics on top of the sports package.
This is Michigan State’s seventh signee of the day, adding to a class that includes 18 players in total. Of the 18 signees, there are two wide receivers, including Harris. The Pennsylvania product will join thirteen wide receivers on the Michigan State team. Harris was invited to participate in the 2013 Big 33 Football Classic vs. Maryland, had 48 receptions for 698 yards, and 12 touchdowns as a senior.
